The Canadiens struck first start with a goal at the half way mark of the first as benji Curtis  sent home a rebound on a play started by Luc Deschenes and Nick Cass. However before the buzzer went to end the period, Curtis Hastings knotted the score with a power play goal with just 54 seconds left. He was assisted by Damian Gallant and Logan Saunders.

Just 2:40 into the second Will Bower broke the tie and from that point on the Vitos led. Brenden Crawford put the home team up by two with a goal midway through the second when he converted a pass from Colin MacSween into the counter.

As the period wound down the Canadiens continued to press and with just over a minute left Cass connected for a goal assisted by Deschenes, leaving them down by just a goal heading into the dressing room.

But it wasn’t to be and only the Vitos managed to score in the remaining twenty minutes as Saunders scored from Thomas Leonard and Tyler Johnson and then when the Canadiens pulled their goaltender to try and knot the score before the whistle Curtis Hastings picked up a relay from Nicholas Phillips to Johnson and shot it down the ice into the open net for insurance.
